M/T Bergstraum – engine incident
Earlier this morning M/T Bergstraum lost propulsion outside Bud on the west coast of Norway. The weather in the area is calm and the situation is under control.
Relevant authorities have been notified and we are cooperating fully with them. The vessel is currently under tow to Elnesvågen, Norway.
M/T Bergstraum is a 9.494 dwt. chemical tanker with double hull built in 1996. The vessel is registered in Norwegian International Ship Register and is classed by DNV. Bergstraum has Baltic, Russian and Filipino crew onboard. Utkilen AS in Bergen, Norway manages the ship commercially and technically. Bergstraum is owned by our wholly owned subsidiary Utkilen Shipping AS.
